Vicky Denise Thompson

October 24, 1954 March 13, 2026

Bald Knob, AR

Vicky "Denise" Thompson, 72, of Bald Knob, Arkansas, passed away on March 13, 2026. A woman of deep faith and quiet strength, Denise spent her life in service to others and devoted herself completely to her family.

As a Registered Nurse, she cared for patients with compassion and kindness throughout her career. Her commitment to service also found expression in her church, where she served as Chaplain of the Ladies Auxiliary, offering prayer, encouragement, and steadfast support to those around her.

Above all, Denise was the heart of her family. She rarely missed a soccer game, band concert, ball game, birthday party, or holiday gathering, always cheering loudly from the front row with camera in hand. A passionate scrapbooker, she preserved every ticket stub, napkin, and flyer so that the story of her family’s life would never be forgotten. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and laughter, known for her famous spaghetti that brought everyone together. She loved music that spoke to the soul and carried herself with a sparkling, glitzy style that matched her vibrant spirit.

She is survived by her children, Jonathan Shook (Heidi) of Dallas, Texas; Angela Shook-Rowland (Tony) of Searcy, Arkansas; Jennifer Shook-Brackenridge (Bryan); and Amanda Martin of Bald Knob, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her mother; two sisters; and a brother. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, and her husbands.
