Vickie Lynn Clifton

Vickie Lynn McCalister Clifton, age 69, of Pineville, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Alexandria.

A graphic artist for many years with The Thrifty Nickel, Vickie found deep fulfillment in her work in advertising and publication. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Vickie took pride in living a simple life and discovered joy in its everyday moments, whether tending her garden of tomatoes and cucumbers, mowing her yard, or enjoying outings to play bingo or penny slots at the casino.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford McCalister, and her brother, Kevin Dauzat.

Vickie is survived by her mother, Maxine Cannon Dauzat; her son, Chris Clifton and wife April; daughters, Trisha Harvey and husband Daniel, and Kala Couvillion and husband Jay; brothers, Rickey McCalister and wife Pam, Paul Dauzat, James Dauzat, Lyson Dauzat, Wayne Dauzat and wife Jo Ann, John Dauzat, and Arthur Dauzat and wife Sherri; sisters, Joanne Mongaraz and husband Wes, and Carolyn Guillot; and her aunt, Billie Ruth Randall, whom she adored like a sister. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Chloe, Halie, Kollins, Ryan, Jordan, Dylan, Carmen, and Davin.
