Vickie A. Anderson-Newton

Vickie A. Anderson-Newton, age 71, a lifelong resident of Sandy Creek and Lacona, passed away on Wednesday at her home. Born on January 23, 1955, in Syracuse, she was the daughter of Clinton and Irene (Allen) Barker Sr. Vickie graduated from Pulaski High School in 1973 and later attended Syracuse University, where she studied elementary education. In 2015, she married Clark Newton on July 24. Over the years, she worked for several local businesses in the Pulaski area.

Vickie found joy in thrifting and attending auctions, where she delighted in discovering useful items and the occasional hidden treasure. She had a special gift for surprising friends and family with thoughtful presents that reflected her caring nature.

She is survived by her husband, Clark Newton; her children, Kevin Kveton of Lacona, Jeffrey (Beth) Anderson of South Carolina, and Angela (Benjamin) Davison of Buffalo; and her grandchildren, Rhyana Kveton, Alexander, Nicholas and Clara Anderson, and Milla Davison. Vickie was predeceased by her brothers, Clinton Barker Jr. and Peter Allen Barker, and her infant sister, Susan.
