April 8, 1942— March 6, 2026
Kewaunee, WI
Vicki Lynn Sipe, 83, of Kewaunee, Wisconsin, passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease on the morning of March 6, 2026, resting comfortably in her bed with her loyal little dog, Satch.
Born on April 8, 1942, in Savanna, Illinois, to Wayne R. “Poppy” and Arvilla A. “Honey” (Kampmeier) Williams, Vicki grew up with a sparkling, friendly, quick-witted, and honest personality that made her a favorite among her classmates. Crowned Homecoming Queen in the Savanna High School class of 1960, she was also a cheerleader, played baritone in the band, and performed on piano at the Methodist church where she attended youth group. After graduation, she trained at the School of Nursing at Swedish-American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois, where she received her cap before devoting her caring heart fully to her family.
Vicki was a devoted mother to four children and three bonus children, and she cherished her many roles as Grandma, Treat Gramma, Nana, and MiMi. She filled her homes with laughter, games, coloring, and homemade treats, keeping an active and colorful household that matched her youthful zest for life. She played tennis, skated, rode bikes, hosted picnics, took grandchildren to the movies with extra-buttery popcorn and candy tucked in her purse, organized bowling parties, and joined in ice cream runs, sleepovers, dancing, and play at every age. A great cook who made everything from scratch, she was known for her cinnamon rolls, molasses crackles, butterhorn rolls, homemade gravy, and the comforting smell of freshly baked goods that welcomed everyone who entered her door.
She loved creating cozy, beautifully decorated homes in Illinois, Iowa, Florida, and Wisconsin, filling them with painted furniture, lace, antiques, dolls, hand-made curtains, and doilies. Vicki found joy in sewing, painting ceramics, refinishing furniture, crocheting, knitting, coloring, playing the piano, and playing games such as Words with Friends, Scrabble, Euchre, and BINGO. An avid bowler, she taught many of her grandchildren the sport and celebrated her 82nd birthday with a large family bowling party. A hard worker throughout her life, she held many jobs while always making her family her priority, expressing her love through generous Christmas gifts and an open heart that never knew a stranger.
Vicki is survived by her sister Judy (Tom) Weber, her children Rick B. Meier (Kristen Powell), Tamara (Randy) Dunk, Larry (Kimberly) Sipe, and Tricia “Tressy” (Timothy) Keister, her son-in-law James Sullivan, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karen (Williams) Mills, her daughter Terri (Dewey) Sullivan, infant great-granddaughter Abbigail Sanger, close friends Rose Walker and Ginger Law, and her beloved husband of many years, Larry H. Sipe.
The world is less warm without Vicki’s loving heart and less bright without her smile and laughter. She will be forever beloved.
