Vicente Llanez Perez

January 22, 1934 March 9, 2026

Miami, AZ

Vicente Llanez Perez, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2026, with his son Joe by his side. He was 92. Born in Alpine, Texas on January 22, 1934 to Pablo and Josefina Perez, he grew up surrounded by the love and lively company of his ten brothers and sisters. Their childhood, rooted in family, hard work, and strong values, shaped the course of his life.

From a young age Vicente traveled with his family to work in the fields, learning the importance of diligence and perseverance. After the family moved to Arizona, he met the love of his life, Angie. She became his soulmate, and together they built a warm and welcoming home. They raised three sons and created a large, loving family that grew to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also played a special role in raising his granddaughter, Angelic Perez, whom he loved deeply and cared for as one of his own.

Vicente began working at the Inspiration Mines at the age of 18, where his strong work ethic and dedication were evident. Those who knew him will always remember his unforgettable personality and wonderful sense of humor. He had a gift for making everyone laugh and was always ready with a joke, a story, or a playful comment. He found joy in simple pleasures—making necklaces, treasure hunting at thrift stores, and visiting Fry’s and Walmart, where he enjoyed friendly conversations. He took pride in his appearance, always well-groomed with a fresh haircut and wearing his jewelry.

He cherished his time at the Miami Senior Center, which became like a second family to him. There he enjoyed bingo, singing, and dancing, keeping everyone entertained with his humor and lively spirit. At home, he was lovingly accompanied by his loyal Chihuahua, Gizmo, who quickly became his constant little sidekick. They began and ended each day together.

Vicente was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Angie, his son Michael, four brothers, three sisters, and other cherished family members. He lived a life filled with laughter, resilience, faith, and deep love for his family and community. His hard-working hands built a home and a legacy that will continue through the generations that follow.
