He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Daniel Lavender and Bertie Lorene South; his wife Carol Lavender (Bond); and his siblings, Brenda, Sonny, Viola, Jean and Becky.

He is survived by: his children, Lee Lavender, Kevin Lavender and Jeremy Lavender; and his sister Linda Mayo. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Biggers Funeral Home (6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76135). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Biggers Funeral Chapel (6100 Azle Ave, Lake Worth, TX 76135).
