Vernon L. Henry

1945 — 2026

Casper, WY

Vernon Leroy “Roadrunner” Henry, 80, of Casper, passed away March 12, 2026. He was born August 3, 1945, in Seminole, OK to parents, Letha O. (Siler) and Arthur B. Henry.

He served faithfully in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on December 22, 1967.

Vernon was an all-around athlete; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He loved his Harley motorcycles and music; he played the guitar, sang, and wrote original songs. He found his niche in buying, selling, and trading cars, bikes, and anything of value. He enjoyed making many friends along the way.

The “Roadrunner” was one of a kind. He was the most giving person one could meet. He loved his family and many friends deeply and is remembered as a great storyteller. He loved to talk, even if you couldn’t get a word in edgewise. He would consider his greatest accomplishments were his dear wife and son.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Henry; son, Paul Chet Henry; brother, Tom Henry; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Buzz and Glen “Bullet” Henry; sisters, Margaret E. Riley and Faye F. Cole; and several aunts and uncles.

“Roadrunner” loved and was loved deeply. He will be greatly missed.

At Vernon’s request, there will be no services. As Vernon would say, “Go out there and have some fun. God bless”.
