She was predeceased by: her parents, William Coyt and Helen Story McLean; her husband Clarence Edward Steele, Jr. (C. E.); C. E.. She is survived by: her daughters, Whitney Marshall (Keith) of Thomasville, GA and Shannon Norton (Jeffrey) of Charlotte, NC; her brother David McLean (Jean) of Chesterfield, SC; her sister-in-law Carol McLean of Boiling Springs, SC; her grandsons, Michael Marshall (Kelley) of Seneca, SC, Garrett Marshall (Ashley) of Marietta, GA and Everett Norton of Charlotte, NC.; her great grandchildren, McLean Marshall, Bennett Marshall and Caroline Marshall; and her brother Vincent McLean. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mausoleum Chapel of Elmwood Cemetery (501 Elmwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29201). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
