She was born September 13, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to Andrew Covert Adams and H. Berdeen Upperman Adams.Vera was preceded in death by her parents Covert and H. Berdeen Adams, brother Ron Adams and the love of her life Fredrick Robison. They were married on May 25, 1958 and, enjoyed 63 yrs of marriage. Also preceded in death by in-laws Patricia (Forest) Krumm, Gary Robison and Richard (Ginny) Robison. She leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and her beloved church family.Vera is survived by daughter Cindy (Dan) Schneider, sons Karl (Sharon) Robison and Kevin (Sue) Robison. She will be greatly cherished by her wonderful grandchildren, Andrew (Kristen) Schneider, Dani (Andre) Druso, Jeff (Kenzie) Robison, Amelia (Andrew) Souders, and Sam (Alex) Robison, plus her dear sisters-in-law Betty Robison, Judy Kennedy, Janice Middleton and Charlotte Adams. Her great-grandchildren are Colton and Griffin Schneider, Leo and Skylar Druso, Van Souder and Emma Robison.A graduate of West High School 1953, Vera was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1958 and began her career with the Columbus Public Schools as a kindergarten and first grade teacher for over thirty years. She was Teacher of the year at Cranbrook Elementary. If your child can read, and loves books, thank a teacher. Her many years at Gables Elementary brought happiness to many students and fellow teachers.Vera was a life-long member of C.E.A., O.E.A. and N.E.A (Retired). She played the piano at Sullivant Friends Church for 25 yrs. and was an active member of Indian Run Methodist Church, for the remainder of her life. She believed "flowers are happiness" and spent many hours in her beautiful yard, sharing that happiness with neighbors.The enjoyment of her life was gathering the family together for dinners on holidays, birthdays and the special July 4th Robison Reunion picnic for over 25 years. Everyone loved Nana's cooking!It was Vera's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25th at Indian Run Methodist Church 6305 Brand Rd, Dublin, OH. A reception and gathering of family and friends will begin at 10 am, with the Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to her beloved church music department where she spent years singing the beautiful words of her faith.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
