Vera Eileen Roland, 87, of Chaneysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 2, 1938, Vera was the daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (Stafford) Isner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Roland, Sr., and her siblings, Gladys Gartzke, Richard Isner, Geraldine Fuller, Lester Isner, and Marion Isner. Vera was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Vera worked at Kelly Springfield Tire Company, several local banks and credit unions, and retired from Chessie Federal Credit Union as Assistant Vice President. She was a proud member of the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department and Central Assembly of God Church, and was the first woman to serve on the board at Kelco. Vera found joy in attending the races, traveling in the RV with her husband, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her beloved pets.

She is survived by her children, Richard “Dick” Roland, Jr. and wife Robin, Kimberly Roland Smith and husband Kevin, Lisa Roland Smith and husband Bill, and Wendy Roland; her grandchildren, Jan McCusker (Clint), Debbie Fazzalore (Joe), Sarah Fordham (Allan), Tyler Smith (Danita), Kori Smith (Emily), Ruth Smith and fiancé Keith McDaniel, Joshua Ulrich and fiancée Chelsea Clark, and Chelsea Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Kyla, Layne, Ava, Brayden, Brinley, Jocelyn, Gus, Evelyn, Thatcher, Frost, Kevin, and Richard, as well as several nieces and nephews.
