She left her beloved New England to marry the love of her life, George Andresakes of New Jersey, where they resided together for 67 beautiful years.Vera worked as a secretary for Berkeley College in New Jersey before retiring. She was an active member of SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church formerly in Orange, NJ, involved in the Ladies Philoptochos Society, Sunday School PTO, and Daughters of Penelope where she served as District Governor of the District 5 territory.Vera is survived by her two children, Pamela and husband, Eugene, Thomas and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Alyssa and husband, Paul, Michael and husband, Jhienes, and Nico; step-grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicole and husband, Michael, and Kelsey; and great grandsons, Zac, Beau, and Luke.Vera treasured her family and so enjoyed any time spent with them. She cherished her many nieces and nephews and glowed each time they called or visited. She wanted them to know how much she loved them all.Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753 . Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13th promptly at 9:30 AM at St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church, 2200 Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753. Burial will follow immediately after church service at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
