B. Church in Dumas, Arkansas.She was united in marriage to the late Othur Tanner, Jr.Velma loved cooking and she had a special love for children.Velma departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas, Arkansas surrounded by her beloved family.Velma leaves to cherish her memory: 2 sons, Bennie Duckworth (Shirley) of Fairfield, CA, Derral Tanner (Debra) of Dumas, AR; 7 daughters, Ora Dean Duckworth of Victorville, CA, Ruby J. Martin of Loma Linda, CA, Minnie Tanner, Clementine Tanner of Dumas, AR, 1 granddaughter, Tunisia "Shay Shay" Vasquez of Loma Linda, CA, whom she raised as her own, 2 step-daughters, whom she help raise, Linda Hall (Gerry) of Fort Smith, AR, Elizabeth "Pouchie" Alexander of Grand Prairie, TX, 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, 1 Great-great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Preceding her in death; her parents, Leroy Price, Willie Ross, Sr. and Minnie Ross, one sister, Clementine Price, two brothers, Willie Ross, Jr., Augusta Ware, one granddaughter, Petrina Renee Macklin.Obituary Submitted by FamilyTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
