Vanessa Villanueva

Vanessa Villanueva, 38, of Florida, was born on November 8, 1987, in Corona, California, to Ilene (née Lara) and Henry Villanueva. A 2005 graduate of Lorain County JVS, she passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026.

Vanessa was a daughter, granddaughter, mother, sister, cousin, niece, and friend whose bubbly personality, kind heart, and love of life touched everyone around her. Her contagious laugh and beautiful smile remain vivid memories for those who knew her. Known affectionately as “Dungey” in her younger years for her ditzy charm, she faced a difficult path in life that ultimately led to her passing.

She is survived by her children, Trevor, Arianna, London, Lyla, and Ashlyn; her grandparents, Patricia and George Elkin; her father, Henry Villanueva; her siblings, Aaron, Valerie, and Miranda Villanueva; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Vanessa was preceded in death by her mother, Ilene; her sister, Victoria; her nephew, D’Angelo; her great-grandmother, Martha Lattimer; and her great-aunt, Nancy Werdebaugh. She will be cremated in Florida and laid to rest in Wellington beside her mother and sister.
