Reverend Ulysses Lewis, affectionately known as “Ula C,” peacefully entered eternal rest on March 11, 2026. A devoted man of faith, he served as a respected pastor and spiritual leader in the Tuscaloosa community for many years. His life was marked by a deep commitment to his calling, his church family, and the people he served with compassion and humility.
He leaves behind loved ones who will cherish the wisdom, guidance, and love he shared throughout his life. Reverend Lewis’s legacy of faith and service continues to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A public viewing was held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Van Hoose & Steele Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. in Tuscaloosa. Visitation and funeral services took place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Frank Kennedy, Sr. serving as officiant and eulogist. He was laid to rest at Cedar Oak Memorial Park in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
