On July 25, 1981, he married the love of his life, Lillian. Their marriage was built on love, faith, and devotion to family.

Ulysses was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent over 35 years working at Wagner Castings Company. Beyond his career, he was deeply committed to his faith. He served as a faithful member and song leader at Jasper Street Church of Christ for 31 years, uplifting many through his leadership in worship and song.

He had a joyful spirit and truly enjoyed life. Ulysses loved traveling and had the remarkable experience of visiting all 50 states and 6 of the 7 continents. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns, dancing, and was especially known for his stepping, often bringing smiles and laughter wherever he went.

Ulysses will be remembered for his strong faith, joyful personality, love for music, travel, and family. His life truly reflected the phrase he was known for — “Blessed and Highly Favored.” His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
