Tyler W. Wilkey of Nashville, Illinois, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Washington County Hospital in Nashville at the age of 43. Born on May 20, 1982, in Nashville, he was the son of Craig and Brenda (Frieman) Wilkey.
A 2001 graduate of Nashville Community High School, Tyler was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked in construction and carpentry, but his greatest joy came from his daughters, whom he loved deeply. He also found happiness in his music and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his parents, Craig and Brenda Wilkey of Nashville; his daughters, Raelyn Dearing of Centralia and Londyn Wilkey of Nashville; his sisters, Tifanie (Travis) Schmale of Nashville and Tasha (Tony) Bury of Bixby, Oklahoma; five nieces and nephews, Jaxon Goforth, Belle Schmale, Skylar (Matthew) Greble, Asheton Bury, and Scarlett Bury; his maternal grandmother, Barb Frieman of Nashville; and many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Frieman; his paternal grandparents, Bill “Kid” and Charlene Wilkey; and his niece, Maris Schmale. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
