Tyler Kyle Harper

Tyler Kyle Harper, age 16, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on March 7, 2026, at Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous three-year battle with osteosarcoma.

Born on May 29, 2009, in Ocilla, Georgia, to Kevin Kyle Harper and Christine Danielle Stone Harper, Tyler was a student at Coffee County Middle School, where he completed the eighth grade. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was a member of Saving Grace Ministry, where he dreamed of becoming a youth pastor. Tyler cherished his family deeply, and his greatest joy was bringing happiness to others. He loved fishing, riding four-wheelers and golf carts, playing games on his PlayStation, and watching his favorite show, Heartland. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his love of life, his kindness toward others, and his devotion to Jesus.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Christine Harper of Douglas; brothers Nathanial Reynolds and Cameron Reynolds of Douglas; sister Aleah Tanner of Douglas; and paternal grandfather Olan Fredrick Harrison of Douglas, along with several cousins and extended family members.

Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Traci Harper, and his maternal grandparents, Eddie and Robin Lee Stone.
