Tyler James Hoover

Tyler James Hoover, age 34, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on March 10, 2026, at his home. Born on April 18, 1991, in Columbus, Indiana, Tyler was a beloved son, brother, and friend who brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone around him. Despite personal struggles, his love for family and friends remained steadfast, and his spirit will live on in the cherished memories of those who knew him.

Tyler graduated from Columbus East High School in 2009. He lived in White Pigeon, Michigan, and Sturgis before attending Pensacola Bible College for a year. In 2016, he moved to Elkhart, where he worked as a Production Tech at Morgan Advanced Materials. A man of deep faith, he found comfort in reading his Bible and placed his trust in Christ Jesus. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed fishing, bonfires with family and friends, gaming, and spending time with his niece and cousin. His cat, Kitty, was a constant and beloved companion.

He is survived by his parents, David and Karen Flint of Sturgis, Michigan; his sister, Jessica (Matt) Keegan of Montgomery, Michigan; his niece, Addison of Montgomery; his aunt and uncle, Annette and Dave Peach; his cousin, Matthew Peach; and his grandmother, Beverly Gilbert, all of Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Gilbert, and his great-grandmother, Betty Fowler.
