Born on March 7, 2000, in Elkin, North Carolina, Tyler brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.Throughout his life, Tyler was a person of diverse interests and talents. His uniquely individual style and charismatic personality allowed him to get along with anyone while still maintaining his own identity. He was the kind of man who could often be heard saying "Fun Fact," as he possessed a wealth of knowledge on various subjects.Tyler found great joy in the outdoors, especially spending time hiking and wading in the waters of Stone Mountain. An avid reader, he cherished everything from comics to classics, with a particular fondness for Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein." As a fan of the Harry Potter series, he proudly identified with House Slytherin. Tyler was also a collector, amassing an eclectic assortment of fossils, rocks, and stuffed axolotls.His appreciation for art and music was distinctive, and he expressed his creativity through drawing and other artistic pursuits. Tyler's friends and family admired his intelligence, wit, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met.Professionally, Tyler applied his skills at Rick's, where he wore many hats and was instrumental in training new employees to excel. He was highly regarded for his dedication and versatility in the workplace.Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dean Stoker. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his mother, TJ Picardi, and stepfather, Michael, of Holly Ridge; brothers Cpl. Anthony Hawkins (Nicole) of Fort Drum New York and Michael Hawkins of Sneads Ferry; sister Anna Williams (Bryan) of Raleigh; grandmother Rev. Tammy Stoker of Elkin, NC; grandfather Terry Dixon (Becky) of Florida; grandparents Tony Picardi (Ellen) of Florida; and aunt Zeka Stoker of Jonesville, NC. He was affectionately known as "Uncle Turtle" to many nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by numerous friends and loved ones.The family will host a Celebration of Life and Rememberance from 2 - 5 pm on Friday, March 13th at Stump Sound Park in Sneads Ferry at the first shelter on the right. Guests are encouraged to dress casually and in bright colors.
