Turf D. Martin

Deacon Turf D. Martin, 71, of Sedalia, fortified by the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by the love of his wife and daughter. A devoted servant of the Church and faithful follower of Christ, he dedicated his life to prayer, ministry, and service to God and to others.A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at Sacred Heart Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, with Bishop Ralph O'Donnell presiding. Visitation will follow from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Sacred Heart Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, with Father Joseph Corel presiding. A luncheon will be held following the Mass in the basement of St. Patrick Chapel, followed by burial at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Bahner.Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
