Tryon Campbell Evans

Tryon Campbell Evans, 30, of Rockingham, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at his home. Born on September 3, 1995, to Victor Brian Evans and Tega Brown Cook, Campbell lived with a vibrant spirit that touched everyone around him. He greeted each person as a friend, met the world with a ready smile, and possessed a rare gift for turning ordinary moments into memories worth cherishing. Whether singing, dancing, or simply sharing laughter, his joyful energy left those who knew him feeling brighter for having been in his presence.

Above all, Campbell cherished his time with his beloved sons, Durk and Marcellus. They were the center of his world, and he poured his heart into every moment spent with them. His kind heart, generous spirit, and genuine love for others created bonds that will continue to resonate in the lives of all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gilbert Henry Evans and Rebecca Helms Evans.

Campbell is survived by his sons, Durk and Marcellus Evans; his mother, Tega Cook (Shane Cook); his father, Brian Evans (Holly) of Carthage; his fiancé, Alysah Buie; his brothers, Seth Brown (Keilan Thompson) and Landen Evans; his maternal grandparents, June Goldston and Charles Brown; his step-grandparents, Thayer Cook II and Keri Cook, and Kevin and Lisa Loftus; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
