Truman James Greaves, 19, of Zionsville, passed away unexpectedly earlier this March in West Lafayette. Truman was a Purdue Honors College freshman studying engineering.

Truman is survived by his mother, Andrea Jeffers Spiegelberg; his father, Christopher Greaves; his siblings, Athena and Harrison; his grandparents, Tom and Gretchen Jeffers and Lee Greaves; his stepfather, Scott Spiegelberg; his stepsiblings, Katelyn and Brie; and his two cats, Boulder and Pebbles.

Truman enjoyed debate and was active in Model UN at Zionsville High School, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2025. He was also a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Last summer, Truman won first place at the START-edUP Foundational Innovate WithIN State Finals. He was also an accomplished rock-climber and avid volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. Truman was a bright soul and wise beyond his years. He was always seeking to make his loved ones laugh and was passionate about leaving the world better than we found it.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Boone County/Zionsville chapter of PFLAG or World Central Kitchen.

A celebration of life service will be held at St. Francis In-The-Fields Episcopal Church on Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 AM.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services.  All are encouraged to keep Truman's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss.
