Trudy Bullett

Trudy Bullett

Passed March 15, 2026

Salt Lake City, UT

Trudy Tucker Stokes Bullett passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 84, after a peaceful battle with inoperable cancer. Surrounded by loved ones and free of pain, she faced her final months with grace and acceptance, spending cherished time with family and friends who gathered to share memories and stories of a life well lived.

A devoted mother, wife, artist, and cosmetologist, Trudy brought beauty and warmth to everyone around her. She delighted in creating—whether through a lifetime of paintings depicting children, grandchildren, landscapes, pets, and most recently a commissioned piece of the Eiffel Tower, or through her handmade jewelry, knit scrubbers, warm slippers, and home-cooked meals. Her family often benefited from her skilled haircuts and her generous, creative spirit. She felt most alive when making something with her hands, and her talents touched countless lives.

Born Tucker, she and her first husband, Roger Kent Cash Stokes, raised four children together. After living in Arizona and Montana, they settled in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they spent more than two decades raising their family. Trudy graduated from cosmetology school at age 32 and owned and operated several salons in Idaho Falls. In 1995, she moved to St. George, Utah, where she continued her career until retiring at 72 after 40 years in the profession. Following Roger’s death in 2014, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she met Mike Bullett at the Draper Senior Center. They married on March 29, 2019, and shared a joyful life filled with drives, cheering for the Utes, lively political discussions, and weekly poker games with friends.

Trudy is survived by her husband, Mike Bullett; her daughter, Traci (Chris) Atkin; her sons, Scot (Heidi) Stokes, Kent (Lisa) Stokes, and Tyson (Tamara) Stokes; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of beloved cousins, poker pals, and friends. She was preceded in death by Roger Kent Cash Stokes, grandsons Jordan and Austin Stokes, and her siblings, Bob Tucker and Diane O’Brien. Her family will remember her as a talented creator, a steadfast friend, and a woman who felt deeply blessed by the love that surrounded her.
