He graduated from UT Tyler with a Master of Business Administration.Troy was a loving husband, father, and friend to many in the community. He showed how much he valued community by serving on numerous boards throughout his professional life. He was an active member of South Spring Baptist Church, and lived a life defined by his love of God, his family, and friends. He was diligent in all that he did, believed in hard work, and his life exemplified the order that we see in our Creator. An avid outdoorsman, Troy loved working with his hands and spent many seasons hunting in Arkansas and fishing anywhere he could with his friends and family. He leaves behind a well-respected, multi-generational business legacy where he touched the lives of so many in Tyler and the Proforma network. Always a gracious host, he enjoyed grilling and preparing food for those he loved and received everyone with a thoughtful and gentle demeanor. Troy was easy to talk to, and the kindness of his spirit made strangers feel welcome and family feel loved. In 2025, Troy was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Parkinson's disease, but despite this diagnosis, discipline governed everything he did. The life group at South Spring Baptist Church was a tremendous support, especially during this challenge.Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents Luke and Etta Bevill and Willis and Telie Todd, and wife Lana's sons, Jay and Jeremy Woolverton.
