Tristan Gage Rowland Ruddell was born on January 12, 1996, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 30. Gage entered the world bright, beautiful, and full of promise. Intelligent and thoughtful, he possessed a gentle kindness that those who knew him in his early years will always remember. With a sharp mind and a compassionate heart, he inspired belief that he would go on to do something meaningful.
Though he struggled for many years with addiction—a disease that gradually isolated him from those who loved him most—his family remembers that this battle was not the entirety of who he was. Beneath the struggle remained the brilliant and kind soul who first entered the world in 1996. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and who now carry both profound grief and countless unanswered questions.
Gage is survived by his wife, Anna; mother, Marcia; brothers, Gunner and Zeb; sister, Tarrah; father, Kent (Aileen); grandparents, Jim and Diana Rowland; uncle, Tommy Rowland (Jodi); aunt, Alicia Rowland; uncle, Richard Davis; cousins, Kelsi (Taylor), Abby, Konner (Hannah Kay), Ashleigh, Kacey, Krew, Weslyn, Sawyer, Chase, Axton, Haddie Kay, and Adeline; nieces, Sydni and Tynli; great-nephew, Waylon; and his beloved dog, Jewels.
His life serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating grip addiction can have on both the person struggling and every family who loves them. Gage will always be remembered for the light he once carried, the love he gave, and the husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin he was. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
