Trinidad Becerra De Leon Jr.

Trinidad Becerra De Leon Jr., 68, of Giddings, Texas, passed away on the morning of March 5, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born on April 12, 1957, in New Gulf, Texas, to Trinidad and Hilaria (Becerra) De Leon, he was baptized later that year and confirmed in the Catholic faith in 1964. After high school, he attended technical college and earned his CDL. He found great satisfaction in his work as a truck driver, traveling across the United States. Trinidad was the proud father of two children, Trinidad Anthony De Leon III and Ursula Nicole De Leon. He cherished time with his family and friends, especially his two granddaughters, and found daily joy in their conversations.

He had a lively spirit and many passions, including telling jokes, listening to classic rock, country, and Tejano music, riding motorcycles, and working on hot rods. Skilled with his hands, he took pride in woodworking and leatherwork, particularly crafting wallets.

Trinidad is survived by his mother, Hilaria Montano of Giddings; his daughter, Ursula De Leon Van Putten and her spouse Christopher Ybarbo of Willis; his two granddaughters, Sylene and Mylah De Leon of Willis; his brothers, Ernesto De Leon of Giddings and Stephen De Leon and wife Jamie of Bastrop; his sister, Maria Fountain of Giddings; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Trinidad De Leon Sr., and his son, Trinidad A. De Leon III.
