Trina Marie Richmond

Trina Marie Richmond, age 69, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 13, 1957 to Frank and Evelyn (Duncan) Sobula, she graduated from Rockford High School in 1975. Trina worked as a secretary and office assistant for the City of Grand Rapids for more than fifteen years before retiring.

She was an accomplished artist who found joy in painting with watercolors, creating collages, and producing ink drawings, often depicting still life or abstract subjects. Trina also loved to read, exercise, and was a passionate advocate for animals. Her warmth and creativity touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Kelsey) Richmond; grandchildren Alexis Lowe and Avery Nykamp; three great-grandchildren; sisters Julie (Terry) O’Neill, Suzanne Pearce, and Candy Barnes; nephew Josh; and niece Katie.
