Lexington, OH

Travis Brissell, 35, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born on November 29, 1990, in Mansfield to Ted and Sue Brissell, he graduated from Lexington High School in 2009 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Medical and Biological Chemistry with a minor in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toledo. Travis built a successful career at Axalta Coating Systems, where he worked for more than ten years as an Operational Manager, earning respect for his dedication and leadership.

Travis found great joy in the outdoors and in the company of others. An active member of the Central Ohio Road Trip Club, he cherished the adventures and friendships formed on the open road. He took pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn, often experimenting with seeding techniques and even growing his own grass. A lifelong athlete, he valued the bonds formed through team sports and remained a devoted Cleveland sports fan and proud member of the Browns Backers. Some of his most treasured moments were flying RC planes and driving RC cars with his father, and fishing with his grandfather at Lake Erie.

Known for his warm and easygoing nature, Travis was a true social butterfly who made everyone around him feel comfortable and welcome. He held a deep love for animals, especially his cherished “fur babies” who brought him constant companionship. He is survived by his wife, Aimee Young-Brissell; his father, Ted Brissell; his in-laws, Rob and Nora Young; many aunts and uncles, including Linda and Larry Callahan; and his beloved dogs Finnegan, Phoebe, Gilmore, and Kona. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Brissell, and his grandparents.

Travis will be remembered for his kind heart, his genuine spirit, and the many meaningful friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His memory will live on in the stories and laughter shared by those who knew and loved him.
