Tracy Cope Gibson

Tracy Lynn Gibson, 52, of Wytheville, passed away on March 13, 2026. A graduate of Radford University, she served as principal at Minnick School in Wytheville, where her dedication to education touched the lives of many students and colleagues.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Ingle Cope. Tracy is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kaitlyn Elaine Grimm and Gavin; her cherished grandson, Slater Grimm; her father and his wife, Rev. Gary Cope and Karen; her twin brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Stacy Cope and Sunshine; her sister and brother-in-law, Melissa Cassell and Paul; her cats, Romeo, Samson, Lemur, and Scrappy; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and special friends who held her dear.

Tracy will be remembered for her deep love of family, her quiet strength, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
