It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tonyatta Nicola Burse of Washington, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Eolia D. Stewart; her grandparents, Katherine V. Williams, Velma L. Burse, Cliffton Burse and Nelson Stewart; and her brother Jimmy N. Burse.

She is survived by: her parents, Jimmy L. Burse and Tonda M. Burse; her godparents, Joseph J. Morgan and Sheila A. Early; her daughter Niema D. Neal; her sisters, Duwanna M. Burse and Kalaina L. Burse; her grandson Leonardo O. Neal; and her siblings' children, Demond D. Williams Jr., Jimmy N. Cole, Kris L. Johnson Taplet, Kourtney R. Parker, Jaire'LN. Jackson and Carie'LA. Burse. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, comrades, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Rhodes Funeral Home - Washington Avenue (3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
