Tony Earl Aldrich, age 65, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Mt. Vernon.
Born on December 22, 1960, in Flora, Illinois, Tony was the son of Galen and Phyllis (Jenkins) Aldrich. He married Debbie Murphy on December 29, 1984, at the Louisville Baptist Church, and the couple shared 41 years of marriage.
Tony spent his working life in the automotive field, beginning as an autobody technician under the guidance of Ron Prather and later serving at Russ Braunecker. He concluded his career in maintenance at Clay County Hospital in Flora, retiring after many years of dedicated service. A longtime member of Red Brush Christian Church in Louisville, he held his faith dear and remained active in his church community.
He possessed a deep passion for muscle cars, attending shows and spending many hours working on vehicles with quiet craftsmanship. An avid outdoorsman in his younger years, Tony enjoyed bow hunting and cherished time spent with his dogs and his beloved cat, Otis. Above all, family was the heart of his world. He was a devoted father who never missed his daughters’ games, and in later years he formed a special bond with his grandson Finn, sharing adventures at car shows and passing along his love of automobiles.

Vernon, Indiana; grandchildren, Finnley Tate Bailey and Alaina Rose Adkins; siblings, Becky Edmunds of Florida, Lee Ann (Harold) Mignola of Cypress, Texas, and Monty (Jody) Aldrich of Belleville, Illinois; father-in-law, Larry Murphy, Sr. of Louisville; sisters-in-law, Sherry (Rodney) Hagen of Lake of The Hills, Illinois, and Jennifer (Kenny) Flier of Greenup, Illinois; and brother-in-law, Larry Murphy, Jr. of Louisville.
