Tony Cervantes

Tony Cervantes, born on May 29, 1965, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, passed away on March 11, 2026. A man of boundless humility and kindness, Tony left an indelible mark on everyone whose life he touched through his quiet generosity and genuine warmth.

Raised in a close-knit family that valued simplicity, he developed a lifelong passion for soccer in his youth and later became skilled at billiards. His deep sense of duty led him to serve as a police officer in Los Reyes, Michoacán, where his integrity and courage earned him steady promotions, culminating in the rank of Commander. Seeking the American dream to be closer to his beloved children, Tony built a new chapter in construction work while finding joy in music, karaoke, the thrill of his motorcycles, and the elegance of sports cars. Known for giving the shirt off his back to anyone in need, he lived with open-hearted generosity that extended far beyond his own circle.

In 2019, Tony met Sylvia Cardona, the great love of his life. Their seven years together were filled with laughter, adventure, and profound devotion, a bond that illuminated his final years and will endure as a testament to a love fully realized.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo Cervantes Alvarado and Maria Virginia Martínez Rocha, his brother Eduardo Cervantes Martínez, and his daughter Monica Lizeth Cervantes. Tony is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cardona; his children, Eduardo Antonio, Christian Ivan, Erika Virginia, Daniel, and Axel Cervantes; his grandchildren, Landon, Ivanna, and Luka Cervantes, Santino Flores, Colette Zúñiga, and Roman Ventura; and his siblings, Virginia, Miroslava, Regina, Margarita, Andres, Mauricio, and Gerardo de Jesus Cervantes Martínez.
