Tommy Mardis

Rogers, AR

Tommy Clay Mardis, born on September 21, 1958, in Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the age of 67. He moved with his family to Rogers in 1987, where he spent the remainder of his life. He is survived by his wife, Tammi; daughters Stacy Tidwell (Drew) and Kayce Mardis; son Trey Mardis (Lindsey); sister Lisa Mardis; and his cherished grandchildren, whom he adored as “Pa”: Avery, Owen, Emma Kate, Clay Tidwell, and Brooklyn Mardis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Betty Mardis.

A graduate of Nettleton High School in 1976, Tommy played basketball and football for the Nettleton Raiders. He married his high school sweetheart, Tammi, in 1979 at the Methodist Church in Monette. The couple farmed in Liberty, Texas, and Beech Grove before settling in Rogers. In 1987, Tommy began a 40-year career owning and operating a chain of convenience stores while also developing multiple apartment complexes.

Tommy was a driven, hard-working man who approached every endeavor with wisdom, attention to detail, and a keen eye for opportunity. He was a natural leader and mentor to young entrepreneurs, generously sharing his knowledge and guidance. Above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved playing golf, attending Razorback games, and exploring new business ideas. A lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church, he volunteered for many years coaching and supporting his children’s activities, creating countless family memories there.

Tommy lived a full life rooted in his love for God and his deep devotion to his family. His soft-hearted and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.
