He was educated in the Spartanburg County schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1976 at Dorman High School.Tommy was employed with flowers bakery for over 32 years and later worked at Spartanburg bakery for six years period a hardworking man with gifted hands he became widely known for his skill in tile and rock work. He took pride in his craft and the work of his hands reflected his dedication and precision.Tommy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved hunting and fishing, shooting pool, and watching football. Known for his talkative spirit and warm personality, Tommy truly never met a stranger. His easy smile and welcoming nature made him a friend to many. He was the devoted fan of the Seattle Seahawks, and his favorite color was blue.He was a faithful member of Word of Change Ministries, where he participated in the Men's Ministry. He was also a proud member of the Corvette club.Tommy was preceded in death, along with father, by siblings, Johnny "John Boy" Miller and granddaughters, Jasmine Dover and Marisa Dowdle.Left to cherish his precious memories are his devoted wife, Mary Miller of the home; his children, Treena Brannon of Spartanburg, SC, Derika Wilson of Travelers Rest, SC, Naranda (Dennis) Williams of Spartanburg, SC, and Naran Miller of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, James L. Miller, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Robert (Loretta) Miller of Spartanburg, SC, Martha (Michael) "Neet" Staggs of Greenville, SC, Brenda G. (Michael) Noots of Spartanburg, SC, and Jacob Miller of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Destini Wilson, Derrica Dowdle, Raekwon Wilson, Memphis (Tymanii) Black, Donum Gibson, King Linday, Christian Miller, Miley Lindsay, and Ananiah Miller; seven great grandchildren; great granddaughters reared in the home, Goddess Brown honorary son, Adrain Harrison; special friends, Bruce Evora, Jeff Beheler, Jeffrey Beattty, and Pastor Wayne Fudge; along with a host of aunts, uncles. nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.On Friday, March 6, 2026, Tommy peacefully transitioned at Spartanburg Medical Center.
