Tommy E. "Eddie" Campbell

Tommy E. "Eddie" Campbell

November 20, 1958 February 26, 2026

Baton Rouge, LA

Tommy E. “Eddie” Campbell Jr., entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2026, surrounded by the peace and promises he so deeply believed. A man of integrity, humility, and unwavering faith, he lived his life devoted to Jesus Christ and loving others as Christ loved us. His example encouraged many to walk more closely with the Lord.

He served in his church and community, always offering to lend a helping hand or speaking words of encouragement rooted in faith. Whether through service, generosity, or simply living out his beliefs daily, he demonstrated what it meant to be a true disciple of Christ.

Eddie was a proud veteran who served 10 years in the Army National Guard.

Above all, he loved his family. He cherished his role as Dad and Pappy, leading by example and teaching those he loved the importance of faith, integrity, and kindness. His legacy will live on in each of his children and grandchildren and by the values he instilled in them.

He retired in June 2025 after 45 years in the oil and gas industry and he enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his closest friends. He loved to travel, enjoyed golfing with his friends, was an avid LSU fan and he supported his grandchildren in all their activities. He never missed an opportunity to be at their school functions and was their biggest supporter whether it be in the bleachers or sitting in the outfield.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Tommy and brother Jeff. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lisa Broussard, three children, Robyn (Jason) Pugh, Jennifer (Russell) Pritchard, Blake (Brandi) Campbell, his mother, Ann and his sister, Dee Dee (Jerry) Boyd. He had eight grandchildren, Alexander and Ethan Pugh, Jacob and Cody Allen, Paxton and Presley Campbell, Noah and Josie Pritchard and numerous nieces and nephews.

Though he will be sincerely missed, we take comfort in God’s promise of eternity, knowing Eddie has heard the words,  "Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)

A celebration of life will be held at Jefferson Baptist Church on Tuesday March 10, 2026. 9135 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA. 70809. Visitation is from 9 to 11 with service at 11. Military service at grave site to follow at 2. He will be laid to rest at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt. Pleasant Zachary Rd., Zachary, LA. 70791.
