Tomasita "Tommie" Gonzales

Tomasita “Tommie” Gonzales, 60, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born on May 15, 1965, in Del Rio, Texas, to the late Benigno and Tomacita (Zulaica) Palacios, Tommie lived a simple and heartfelt life centered on family. She remained closely connected with her extended relatives and shared a particularly warm bond with her grandchildren, who cherished coming over to spend time with her, especially during “Movie Time” when she always had their favorite snacks ready. She could often be found at family cook-outs, snack and cold cola in hand, dancing to the music with quiet joy.

A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Tommie brought comfort and presence to those around her. She is survived by her children, Andres Jacob Gonzales and his fiancé, Raina, Adrian Rosendo Gonzales and his wife, Marlene, and Magdalena Nicole Gonzales; her siblings, Ben Palacios, Corina Leal, Donna Dominguez, Rosie Lopez, David Palacios, and Jerry Palacios; her grandchildren, Adrian, Adalina, Aliza, Azariah, Alejandra, Anjelita, Milli Miranda, Landon, and Jayce Ramirez; and four great-grandchildren.

Tomasita was preceded in death by her parents, Benigno and Tomacita Palacios.
