Tom Lee ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Hunter Funeral Home - Sparta on Mar. 17, 2026.Mr. Marion Thomas Lee, better known as Tom, age 85 of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the home of his son in Sparta, Tennessee.Tom was born August 8, 1940 in Opelika, Alabama to the late John Allen and Mary Thomas Owsly Lee. Tom served in the United States Navy. Following his career in the Navy, Tom was a building contractor alongside his father. After the death of his father, Tom began a career on the West Coast as a truck driver. He was proudly ranked as the #2 truck driver in the state of California in various Truck Rodeo competitions. He was always involved in his children's activities from motorcycles to water skiing. He will be fondly remembered for his love of music, especially country music.In addition to his parents, Tom is also preceded in death by his wife Diane Lee; sisters June Maijala and Julie Thompson.Surviving family members include his son Tom Lee and wife RhondaDaughter: Tammy HolyfieldDaughter: Nancy Ann Mallard and husband BillStep daughters: Denise Bunker and Claudette BisoGrandchildren: John Allen Lee, Michael Thomas Lee, Anthony James Lee, Rebecca Sammons, Samanth Nicole Lee, Andrea Madison, Laura Madison, Matt Biso, Nicole Biso, Joe Biso, Brittany Storanetta and Brianna StoranettaTwo sisters: Virginia Johnson and Susie BensonThe Lee family has entrusted Hunter Funeral Home with Tom's cremation and no services are planned.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
