Tom Fouch

May 2, 1948 March 5, 2026

National Park, NJ

Harry “Tom” Fouch, a lifelong resident of National Park, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, he moved to National Park as a young man and remained a dedicated and caring member of that community for the rest of his life.

A United States Navy veteran, Tom served his country for 30 years before returning to civilian life. He then became Superintendent of the National Park Water Department, where he worked tirelessly to maintain and improve this vital service for the borough he loved. Even after retirement, his commitment to his neighbors continued; he served as a crossing guard at National Park Elementary School, offering a friendly smile and watchful care to generations of children, and volunteered with Town Watch to help keep the community safe.

A man of deep faith, Tom was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church in Gloucester City. His beliefs inspired him to regularly travel to Camden to help feed the homeless, extending quiet kindness and dignity to those in need. Above all, he was a loving family man who found his greatest joy in the simple moments of life, shared laughter, and time spent with those he cherished. In recent years, nothing delighted him more than his first and only great-grandson, Ruben, whom he adored.

Tom is survived by his children, Laura Carpentier, Harry S. Fouch, and Erica Fouch (James); his siblings, Michael Fouch, Barbara Kileen, Mary Stevens, and Carol Ripple; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Noah, Avery, James, Mary-Jayn, Logan, and Blair; his great-grandson, Ruben; and his beloved canine companion, Hailee. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Fouch; his parents, Harry and Mildred (Duffy) Fouch; his brother, Jeff Fouch; and his sister, Norma Fouch-Clarke. His legacy of generosity, humor, faith, and lifelong service will endure in the many lives he touched.
