Todd A. Butler

Todd Alan Butler, 61, of Candor, New York, passed away on March 13, 2026, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Richard J. and Mary (Myers) Butler, and his brother, Richard J. Butler, Jr., Todd is survived by the loves of his life, Madi Butler and Mason Butler; his three sisters and brother-in-law, Colleen and Tom Murray, Shannon and Jared Martin, and Kelly (Derek) Butler; his three brothers and sisters-in-law, David Butler and Karen Weston, Rick and Jess Butler, and Danny Butler; his step-mom, Cindy Finch; his two dogs, Bella and Diesel; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Deeply community minded, Todd served as a volunteer with the Candor Emergency Squad and was an active member of the American Legion Post #907, where he devoted many hours to the Sons of the Legion and the Color Guard. He cherished the friendships he formed there with Tim Whitmarsh, Kristine Budinger, Bartt Smith, John Watson, and Yac. He was especially grateful for the devoted care and presence of Lynn Shay and Lori Callahn, whom he lovingly called his “sisters-from-another-mother.”
