Timothy "Tim" Younger

Timothy “Tim” Younger, 66, of Colcord, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026. Born in Jefferson City, Missouri, on December 29, 1959, to Billy Wayne Younger and Carolene (Ross) Barlow, Tim was known for his strong will and generous heart. He looked out for others in quiet, everyday ways, whether stopping to clear debris from the road or striking up conversations with strangers who quickly became friends.

A lifelong welder, Tim owned and operated Younger and Son Welding for more than twenty years. He took great pride in his craft and found joy in metalwork, building hot rods, and riding motorcycles. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting the treasures he fondly called “good shit.” Yet nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren.

Tim was a devoted husband, father, Pops, son, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Younger of Colcord, Oklahoma; children Kristin “George” Shackelford and husband Matt of Colcord, and Coleman Younger of Miami, Oklahoma; sister Dena Bateman and husband Joe of Watts, Oklahoma; grandchildren Addy and Weston Shackelford; and in-laws Ray and Nancy Masters of Jay, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Randy Younger, and father-in-law Dwayne “Red” Forrest.
