Timothy S. Claborn

Timothy S. Claborn, age 77, of Longs, South Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2026, at McLeod Seacoast following a brief illness.

Born on September 7, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, Tim was the son of the late Ralph D. Claborn and the late Teresa Schmitz Claborn. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield and went on to serve the state of Illinois for thirty years in Public Aid. He carried deep pride in his military service during the Vietnam War.

Tim was a devoted Chicago Bears and Cubs fan who also cherished his collection of old trains. He found great joy in coaching baseball over the years and was known as a skilled jack of all trades, particularly gifted in woodworking and landscaping.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Belinda V. Claborn; his children, John Claborn, Devin Claborn, and Jennifer (Matthew) Holler; his grandchildren, Owen Holler and Oliver Holler; his sister, Debra A. Milstead; and his stepdaughters, Melissa Walker and Raven Walker.
