He was born on April 4, 1956, to the late George and Marie Messor Mefford in Caryville, Tennessee. Tim was a clever man who loved song and poetry. He was the preacher at Lake City Church of Christ for many years, and at his best, he brought a great deal of comfort to folks as well as a good, hearty laugh. He will be remembered as a colorful thread in the tapestry of life for all who met him.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Joshua; sisters: Geraldine, Nona, Dorothy, and Sarah, along with two infant sisters; and his brother, Phillip.He is survived by his son, Joel; grandchildren: Tristy, Miranda, Luke, and Dakota; and a host of other nieces and nephews, family members, and friends.Family and friends will share reflections of life with Tim on March 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Pavilion 1 at Cove Lake State Park. www.leachfamilyfuneralhome.comTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
