Timothy Mark Bolton

Timothy Mark Bolton, 62, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on October 12, 1963, in Flint, Michigan, to Beverly Frank and the late Johnny R. Bolton, Tim graduated from Carmen High School in 1981 before earning a degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University. He then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he served with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department for 29 years, retiring in 2017.

In retirement, Tim devoted himself to his children, Hunter Bolton, Emily Bolton, and Olivia Bolton, and took great joy in being a pop-pop to his grandchildren, Luke and Addie. He found happiness in skiing, walking his dog, spending time on the beach, playing tennis and pickleball, hosting family and friends, and practicing his faith.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Johnny R. Bolton. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Frank; his brothers, Johnny Bolton Jr. and Michael Bolton; his sister-in-law, Sandra Bolton; his daughter-in-law, Rachel Bolton; his nephew, Cameron Bolton; his nieces, Abby Adkins, Ellie Bolton, and Heather Zintsmaster; and his girlfriend, Jennifer Croft.

His children wish to express their deep gratitude to Jennifer and Mike, along with the many friends and neighbors whose kindness and care for their father meant so much to the family.
