Timothy Lee Overton

Timothy Lee Overton, age 56, of Pella, Iowa, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on August 3, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa, he remained deeply rooted in the state he proudly called home throughout his life.

On April 14, 1990, Timothy married Kimberly Vignaroli in Des Moines. Together they raised three children: Mariah, Brandon, and Anthony. He found great joy in the outdoors, particularly fishing, and was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed a game while cheering for the Chicago Cubs, the Minnesota Vikings, and NASCAR.

Timothy gave generously to his community, serving as a volunteer firefighter with the Delaware Township Fire Department for more than 18 years. He was also a dedicated coach and supporter of his children’s sports teams during their younger years, finding deep fulfillment in watching them learn and grow. Music held a special place in his heart; he enjoyed all genres and was always eager to experience a live band.

Above all, Timothy cherished his family. He took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of his loved ones, and his grandchildren brought him endless joy and laughter.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Overton; his children, Mariah Pettyjohn (Cole) and Brandon Overton (Cadence); and his grandchildren, Watson, Willow, and Wynter. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Overton.
