Timothy Joseph Boyle Jr

Timothy Joseph Boyle Jr. of Naples, Florida, passed away surrounded by his family on March 7, 2026. Born on January 23, 1942, in Chisholm, Minnesota, to Timothy Sr. and Onlee Boyle, Tim graduated from Chisholm High School in 1960. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. For more than 33 years, he taught English, Speech, and Theatre in the Osseo Area School District, where he touched the lives of countless students.

Tim was also deeply involved in the world of figure skating. He performed with Holiday on Ice International for several years, then spent many years as a figure skating coach before serving as a United States Figure Skating Judge for four decades. He cherished the lasting friendships he formed within the skating community.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Denise “Deni” (Leavitt) Boyle, his “rock,” of Naples, Florida; his son Shawn (Dana), daughters Keri Jacobson (Jack) and Kelly; his brother Michael Boyle (Beth); his sister Patricia; and his grandchildren Mason, Madie, Jake, Drew, Emily, Will, and Hannah. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Byron, his baby sister, and many dear friends.
