Newport, NH

Timothy James Maley, known affectionately as Turbo Tim, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at Nashua Post Acute Care in Nashua, New Hampshire, at the age of 66. Born on October 23, 1959, in Newport, New Hampshire, he was the son of James and Elizabeth (Jubb) Maley.

Tim was a devoted and encouraging father who supported his children in every endeavor they chose. He filled their childhoods with adventure, always making sure there was gas in the wheelers and air in the tires for countless rides around the house and on the trails. He patiently taught them essential life skills, from driving a manual transmission to riding dirt bikes. His daughter Kayla recalled the rigorous lessons in the 1987 Chevy one-ton truck, while his son Kris remembered learning to ride the 250X in the sand bowl at Weed’s Pit, where Tim’s advice after a fall was often “Rub some dirt on it, you’ll be fine” or “Suck it up and get back on and ride.”

Tim had a well-known sweet tooth and could often be found enjoying Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, a Nutty Buddy, or a Snapple Raspberry Iced Tea. He cherished the outdoors, camping, fishing, classic trucks and cars, and took greatest pride in sharing his love of dirt bikes and wheelers with his children. He will be remembered for his love of life, his big smile, enormous heart, and his endless jokes that filled rooms with laughter, including his favorite: “You can tune a piano, but you can’t tune a fish.”

Tim was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth (Jubb) Maley of Newport. He is survived by his children, Kayla Brehio and her husband Gabe of Lempster, New Hampshire, and Kristofer Maley and his wife Tara Yurek of Claremont, New Hampshire; his sister, Julia (Maley) Cartier and her husband Gregg Cartier of Newport, New Hampshire; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
