Timothy "Tim" George Burgess

Timothy “Tim” Burgess, age 69, of Mt. Morris, formerly of Genesee, passed away on March 10, 2026.

Born on August 12, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, to the late George Junior and Dolores Helen (Gee) Burgess, Tim grew up attending Genesee Schools. He was remembered as an outgoing and friendly man who never met a stranger. A man of deep faith, Tim loved the Lord and found his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He took pleasure in gardening, tinkering with projects, and spoiling his beloved dogs.

He is survived by his children, Hope (Jason) Thomas of San Diego, California, and Brian (Melodie) Burgess of Flushing; grandchildren Jacob Burgess, Emma Burgess, and Dylan Thomas; siblings Steve (Peggy) Burgess, Jill (Buzz) Purcell, and Mitch (Amy) Burgess; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Tim’s cherished furry companions, Popeye, Dayton, and Scooby, also remain part of the family he leaves behind. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Barry.
