Timothy G. Ahrens

Timothy G. Ahrens, age 83, passed away at his residence in Neenah on March 9, 2026. Born on May 14, 1942, to Gerald and Gretchen (Reichel) Ahrens, Tim grew up in Neenah, where he graduated from high school before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. An accomplished athlete, he was named MVP in tennis during high school. Later, while living in Michigan City, Indiana, he found joy in crewing and sailing on Lake Michigan. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and was an active member of the Rotary Club.

Tim spent most of his career in sales, which eventually brought him back to the Neenah area. A longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha, he devoted many years to the Neenah YMCA, working with the before- and after-school program. Those who knew him will remember his gentle nature and the deep affection he held for his beloved cats, Bo Peep and Thumbelina.

He is survived by his children, Allison (Michael) Rocco and Bradon (Robin) Ahrens; his grandchildren, Sarah (Kris), Aubree, Kase, Mina, Sky, Matt, and Hannah; and the mother of his children and dear friend, Susan Ahrens. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Brett Ahrens.

Tim’s family is grateful for the compassionate care he received from the staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah and the loving support provided by the team at Moments Hospice during his final weeks.
