Timothy E. Donovan

Timothy E. Donovan, 77, of Millbury, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, March 12, 2025.

Born in Marlborough, Massachusetts, on September 14, 1948, Tim was a lifelong resident of Millbury. He graduated from Millbury High School with the Class of 1966 and spent his career as a metallurgist in the Sonic Department at Wyman-Gordon in North Grafton. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna (Arola) Donovan; his daughters, Jodi and her husband Scott Turner, and Kelly and her husband Daniel Jones; and his four grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey Turner, and Corey and Meghan Jones, all of Millbury. He also leaves behind many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel E. Donovan and Shirley A. (Bertrand) Donovan.

Tim was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in watching his daughters and sons-in-law raise their own families. He took immense pride in his grandchildren and their accomplishments, cherishing his role as their beloved “Gampie.” He enjoyed following Boston sports, particularly the Red Sox and Patriots, but nothing pleased him more than watching his daughters compete in Millbury sports. He generously gave his time as a volunteer umpire for the Millbury Girls Town Softball league.

Tim will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for his family, and the steady presence he provided throughout his life.
