Timothy Dale Byrd

Timothy Dale Byrd, age 58, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2026, surrounded by his son and father. Born in Hickory, he was the son of Roger Byrd and Brenda Sue Webb. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luther and Veo Byrd, and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Louise Webb.

Tim found deep satisfaction in life’s simpler joys. He was an avid golfer who rarely missed a North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball game. He also loved being outdoors, whether fishing, enjoying nature, or simply appreciating the quiet peace of the natural world.

Above all, Tim’s greatest happiness came from his family. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, especially his grandson Brighton, in whom he took tremendous pride and delight as he watched him grow.

He is survived by his father, Roger Byrd (Shelia); his mother, Brenda Sue Webb; his two sons, Brandon Byrd (Betty) and Timothy Eric Byrd; his grandchildren, Addison and Haley Adams, Brighton, Zane, Owen and Noah Byrd, Caroline and Evelyn; his sisters, Kristin Leigh Byrd and Sherea Lynn Krause (Michael); his step-sisters, Kimberly Dawn Lingereflet (Todd) and Heather Smart (David); his step-brother, Joshua Davis (Hope); and his special uncle, Ronnie Byrd, along with several nieces and nephews.
